Liverpool refuse to cave as Barcelona plan to resume talks over a deal for Philippe Coutinho.

The Daily Mail says the Reds will reject a £72m offer from Barcelona for Coutinho.

The Catalan club have long been admirers from the Brazilian playmaker and wish to lure him to Spain.

But Liverpool are set to knock back a bid from Barcelona worth 80m Euros (£72m ).

Coutinho is vital to Liverpool's ambitions of challenging to the Premier League title this season.

The 25-year-old signed a brand new deal last season to stay him at Anfield until 2022.
