Ranieri: Chelsea's biggest problem is Morata - he's no Diego Costa


Nantes coach Claudio Ranieri believes Chelsea happen to be hurt from the departure of Diego Costa.

The Spain striker left Chelsea last month to go back to Atletico Madrid following a chaotic summer.

While he cannot formally sign for Atletico until January, Costa is training with his new club and can not play for Chelsea again after the 2 sides agreed a transfer worth as much as £57. 2million.

Former Blues boss Ranieri, meanwhile, has cast doubt on Alvaro Morata like a readymade replacement. The Italian believes Morata still faces a bedding in period.

He told Corriere dello Sport : “What has Chelsea's problem been thus far? It is right all the way down to the injuries and also the changes inside the squad. It is not easy to reach from Diego Costa to Morata.
